MD101 is committed to the fight against endometriosis!
What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the female genital tract. In France, it affects 10% of women of childbearing age, i.e. 1.5 to 2.5 million women. This disabling disease is still too often under-diagnosed and poorly managed. It can take many years to determine the diagnosis, manage the painful symptoms or obtain assisted reproduction.
Endometriosis and MD101
The fight against this disease is close to our hearts, which is why we have set ourselves the goal of raising awareness of it and, above all, accelerating technology by supporting those involved in the field. In addition to our financial support for Endofrance, an association dedicated to the fight against endometriosis, we are committed to supporting all medical device manufacturers by offering them preferential rates. We are also committed to raising awareness of all the players in the field, notably through the various events we organize.
EndoFrance, a French association for the fight against endometriosis, is the first association for the fight against endometriosis created in France in 2001; it is also the first to be accredited by the Ministry of Health in September 2018. The association supports endometriosis sufferers and those around them.
With the help of its Scientific Committee made up of world-renowned experts, it organizes conferences and roundtables for the general public to inform them about endometriosis. Since 2005, EndoFrance has been lobbying public authorities to improve endometriosis care. The association wrote the chapter of the HAS / CNGOF recommendations for the management of endometriosis on information to be given to patients, and published a book on “preconceived ideas about endometriosis” with the support of experts in the field.
